Coolie Box Office Update: Rajinikanth’s film continues to dominate the big screen, though the momentum has started to ease. After three impressive days of strong earnings, the action-packed thriller witnessed its first dip in collections on Sunday. However, by that point, the film had already shattered several records, emerging as the top-grossing Tamil film of 2025.

Rajinikanth’s film has made a huge impact at the box office. In its first three days, the film earned ₹158.35 crore net in India. However, on Sunday the earnings slowed down. As per Sacnilk, by 5 pm on Sunday, Coolie had collected ₹18.94 crore, which brought its total to ₹178.19 crore in four days.
Though the dip in earnings could affect its long-term performance, the film has still had a very strong opening weekend. Overseas, Coolie is also doing extremely well, collecting over $16 million in just three days and crossing ₹300 crore worldwide.
Now, the big test for the movie will be Monday. If the film manages to hold strong and avoid a major drop, it has a solid chance of reaching the ₹500-crore mark, and possibly even ₹600 crore globally.
War 2 vs Coolie box office
Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s War 2 hit theatres the same day as Rajinikanth’s film .But despite getting more screens across India, War 2 is trailing in the box office race.
This movie has already earned over ₹170 crore in India and is on track to touch the ₹200 crore mark soon. On the other hand, War 2 has collected around ₹150 crore so far. The overseas numbers also show a big gap — This movie has made $16 million abroad, while War 2 has managed only $5 million.
